Grandparents Class 

This fun and lighthearted class will leave you confident entering your next chapter! Your family is growing and your abilities and comfort for caring for a newborn can too! As a natural leader in your family, you are sharing the initiative in learning the most up to date practices to ensure safety and soothing for the newest addition. 

This class is taught by a fellow grandparent and doula/educator- Lisa Byerly! 

Who is this class for:

• The new grandparent

• Grandparent who will be providing childcare but hasn’t had their own kiddos in 30+ years and needs a refresh

• Experienced grandparent who wants to learn better ways to support their family, evidence-based newborn care and safety, and more! 

Where is it: 

977 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 in our second floor office (one flight of steps with double railings) 

What is covered? 

• Evidence-based newborn care and safety (hands on demonstration)

• Safe sleep and creating a safe sleep space/swaddling/soothing tricks that will make you feel confident with your care

• Car seat dos, donts, basics

• Shifting family dynamics and roles, the way to be the most supportive grandparent you can be 

• What’s changed since 80s/90s culturally, handling social media delicately 

• Babywearing, Bonding and more! 

Cost- $175 per ticket (comes with two seats, one for each grandparent or single grandparents can bring a friend/one of the parents!) 

When is it- 4/25 11-1pm 

Parking is free in our lot or street parallel spots.
